Why I chose this song?
I chose this song because when consulting with my group members, Sam and Carolina, we all had similar ideas about what the theme of our music video would be. We all thought that the concept of a soldier, who'd been in service, coming home to a women he'd left behind would fit the song and title "Is he really coming home?". It has a strong concept idea and prominent theme, evident in the way that as soon as we'd heard the song, each of us had similar ideas.
The lyrics are catchy and there is a strong 4/4 beat throughout the song which'll make it easier to outline shots and alternating footage. We can mark on significant shot changes and the general layout of the music video should be easier to depict and get a sense of. Its also a nice and interesting song and I will enjoy listening, learning and constructing a music video around and to it.
